Paradigm Construction & Engineering is partnering with Premier Steel Services to install the first Free Span, Fast Cast Bridge® on Wickliffe Road. The installation will begin on Monday, March 4, at 7:00 a.m. and will continue throughout the day.
The new Free Span, Fast Cast Bridge® was developed to limit environmental disruption and is now widely available to Premier customers. The innovative design allows for limited disturbance of the local creek bed, protecting the brown-eared bats who call the area home. Additionally, the installation is up to four times faster than a traditional bridge, providing significant cost savings.
“Based on our experience with previous projects, we were confident that Premier could offer a solution to the unique obstacles facing the Wickliffe Road Bridge,” said Joshua Glesener, Vice President of Operations at Paradigm Construction & Engineering, Inc. “This revolutionary new bridge system will save Mayes County approximately $500,000 in overall bid costs and offers realistic solutions for quick & efficient installation.
This is the first Free Span Fast Cast Bridge® project and is one of over 30 Fast Cast Bridge® projects installed across the country. The new Free Span, Fast Cast Bridge® system has been approved by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and will be the first of its kind in Oklahoma.

The new Free Span, Fast Cast Bridge ® is a new design concept within the Fast Cast product suite, which utilizes a composite steel structure designed and manufactured at Premier Steel’s Glenpool facility and filled with concrete during installation. The entire process, including site preparation, excavation and cleanup, is significantly less than traditional construction methods. The quick installation is minimally invasive to the surrounding area, and provides a cost-effective solution for tribes, counties and municipalities to repair failing infrastructure.
